Find out more about Megan below....
I’m a sprinter representing the Isle of Man, specialising in the 60m, 100m and 200m. I’m currently the fastest woman on the Island across all three distances, and I’m proud to be the 3rd fastest woman in Isle of Man history over 100m, as well as the 3rd Manx woman to break the 12-second barrier.
Throughout my career, I have represented Manx Harriers, the Isle of Man, Merseyside and England at competitions both nationally and internationally. I have competed at four Island Games, winning medals at three of them, with my first Island Games appearance at the age of 16. This year was another exciting milestone in my career as I received my first invitation to compete at the British Championships.
My ambitions are to continue progressing at the highest level possible. I want to establish myself as a regular competitor at the British Championships, continue competing internationally and on the European circuit, win an individual medal at the next Island Games, and ultimately earn my place on the Isle of Man team for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
Physiotherapy has become a hugely important part of my journey as an athlete. The small details matter, and keeping my body strong, healthy and performing at its best is vital to being able to train consistently, progress and perform on the track. Having the right support around me allows me to stay on top of niggles, manage the demands of sprint training and continue pushing towards my goals.
I’m incredibly grateful to Ruth for her support and for becoming part of my journey. Having access to professional physiotherapy support is something I really value, and I’m excited to see where we can go together as I continue to chase my goals on the track.
